The EC-SX series is a high-performance all-electric injection molding machine that has greatly improved the basic performance through newly developed clamping unit and injection unit, realizing ” precise and stable molding” and “high productivity” . This machine combines the “five new technologies” that we have introduced, and the molding technology we have accumulated over the years can meet the various needs of customers.

1) New Clamping Device (Solid Clamp)

The device imparts a uniform clamping force to the mold with a newly designed switching device and increased rigidity, allowing molding to be performed at a lower clamping force than conventional devices. In addition, the unit achieves industry-leading high-speed cycling.

  1. New Switching Device: Bonding Line Switching + High Rigidity Plate
    – Minimizes mold deflection for even clamping force distribution.
    – Molding is possible even with less clamping force than conventional devices, which helps to improve product quality and reduce mold maintenance.
  2. Dynamic Acceleration/Deceleration Control (Patent Pending) 
    – Acceleration/Deceleration control is adopted to reduce shock during mold opening/closing.
    – Maximum acceleration can be performed from any position, enabling high-speed cycle molding.
  3. Highly Responsive Ejection
    – Fast motion reduces ejection time.
  4. Non-lubricated tie rods
    – Non-lubricated tie rods eliminate grease sticking on molds or products, maintaining a clean environment.
    – Standard anti-rust feature on the hopper inlet prevents rust or waste from mixing into the product.
  5. SFC (High Speed ​​Mold Opening/Clamping) Specification (Option)
    – The dry cycle time is further shortened, enabling high-speed cycle molding.
  6. High Rigid Frame
    – Optional leveling pads are available to aid in installation or repositioning.
  7. Built-in hydraulic core puller (option)
    – This unit is stored in the machine to be installed on one end of the clamping unit.

2) New injection unit S-Cube (simple, stable and smooth)

Strong filling performance is inherited in the high speed and high pressure range, and stable molding is achieved through smooth motion.

  1. Frictionless Drive
    – Suppresses sliding resistance to the limit, promoting precise and stable molding with stable injection characteristics.
    – Smoothed early injection response and improved charging stability.
    – Reduced differences between molding machines.
  2. Improved control accuracy of injection pressure and back pressure
    – The inherent characteristic differences of pressure detectors are offset by linear correction control to minimize mechanical differences. This improves injection pressure and back pressure accuracy, enabling leading stable molding.
  3. Space-saving injection unit
    – The structure of the injection unit has been optimized to shorten the overall length of the machine.
  4. Increased pressure holding strength
    – Pressure holding strength has been increased to enable heavy duty injection molding.
  5. 2-stage pressurized reduction gear: high torque and medium speed rotation (option)
    – handles high viscosity resins

3) High performance controller (INJECTVISOR-V50)

The control performance is greatly improved, and high productivity and precision stability are achieved.

  1. High performance HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
    – 15-inch large-scale panel facilitates visualization and improves operability. *Takes over the function of INJECTVISOR-V30.
    – Enables data browsing or printing on the personal computer by means of USB thumb drive or iPAQET LiTE.
  2. Wide split screen
    – Displays information necessary for the process on a split screen independent of the setting screen. This minimizes the changing of setting screen.
  3. Signal customizing function
    – Enables arbitrary selection of output signal to peripheral equipment.
    – Allows each selection of output condition or output form.
  4. Remote monitor/managerial system “iPAQET”
    – Monitors and manages multiple molding machines in real time by using LAN line. Enables centralized management on wide range of information including the monitoring of operational condition of the machine and resin lot in addition to the monitoring of production state or the accumulation analysis function of product quality data.
  5. Enables plug-in of peripheral and rationalization equipments and facilitates integrated management including rationalization equipments.

4) Forming controls (DST: Dynamic Self-Tuning)

Added auto-correction to shape controls. This contributes to high-precision molding and long-term stable molding reproducibility.

  1. DST-Press (Automatic Clamping Force Correction)
    – No dents or lack of material due to clamping force fluctuations (effect of blowholes).
    – Automatic corrections made during molding do not affect run cycles while preserving stable molding.
  2. DST-Fill (Molding Condition Automatic Correction Function)
    – Performs automatic changes to molding conditions, maintains stable molding, and prevents changes in molded product quality during long-term operation due to changes in resin batches, material breakage rates, or changes in the molding environment .
  3. Extensive Molding Controls
    – Various features such as VHI (Virtual Hydraulic Injection Molding) circuit, high sensitivity mold protection and ejector torque monitoring are installed.
